HUD Approves 97 Communities for Internet Access Program

ConnectHomeUSA expands for the first time in four years.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) added 97 housing authorities to its affordable internet access program last week, expanding the program for the first time since 2020.

“Everyone needs access to the Internet and other digital tools, but some families cannot afford the quality access needed for work or school,” said HUD Acting Secretary Adrianne Todman. “ConnectHomeUSA seeks to bring the affordable digital access and equipment people need to get things done. We are narrowing the digital divide and empowering communities with equitable economic and educational outcomes.”

Public Housing Authorities, Tribally Designated Housing Entities, and Multifamily housing providers have all been approved to participate in ConnectHomeUSA, and they have affordable access to internet services, electronic devices, and digital skills training for their residents.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Acting Secretary Todman as she facilitates HUD to support affordable housing for all.
  • For department officials as they promote the ConnectHomeUSA program for residents.
